Munawar Kabir Mohd Zainal Abidin graduated with a Law degree (Honours) from the International Islamic University of Malaysia and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2013. He is a member of the following professional bodies:-

- Associate Member International Transparency

- Lt. Colonel (Honorary) RELA
He served at the Anti-Corruption Agency, now known as Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for over 30 years.
He is the Founding Partner of Munawar & Associates specialising solely on:-

He has assisted several Task Force during his service at MACC and counseled the Prosecution Team in matters related to Corruption Cases, International Extradition, Corporate Compliance Programs, Forfeiture of Property, Money Laundering, Financial, Company and Commercial Disputes.
In addition to the criminal matters, he also handles various complex litigation disputes for Multinational Corporations, Government Linked Agencies and provides practical legal solutions to high net worth individuals on a regular basis.

Rishee Muruganantham (Legal Associate)

Rishee Muruganantham obtained his LLB degree from University of Hull in 2014 and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in March 2019.
He chambered in a boutique firm in Subang Jaya where he was exposed and assisted the firm’s lawyers in Civil Litigation, Medical Negligence, Insurance matters and Bankruptcy law. After being called to the Malaysian Bar, he practiced as a Legal Associate with Messrs Thurairaj T Kumar & Associates a boutique firm in Mount Kiara where apart from Civil Litigation, he further enhanced his Legal Career by practicing Family Law, Criminal Law and Tax Law. He is skilled and a competent drafter of Corporate Agreements and documentations.
He successfully assisted his clients to set aside Judgements in Default obtained against them by Insurance Companies, Banks and Government Agencies. He has also successfully helped his client to strike out a Third-Party Notice against a reputable car dealer. Furthermore, he also has successfully wound up a few companies. His familiarity and experience as a civil litigator in these areas is an asset to the Firm.
He is currently heading the Civil Litigation Department of the firm and also overseeing JMB and Employment related matters.
